Submit formalin fixed paraffin embedded Tissue Block. Ship at room temperature OR 4 mL (2 mL min.)

CLINICAL UTILITY

Activating mutations in EGFR are present in approximately 10-12% of non-small cell carcinomas of the lung. most EGFR mutations predict a good response to treatment with EGFR inhibitors such as gefitinib and erlotinib. EGFR, ALK and ROS1 mutation testing are recommended to determine whether a person’s tumor would be likely to respond to specific targeted therapies such as gefitinib, erlotinib and crizotinib
