Diagnose oligodendroglioma brain tumors; indicated in both low-grade and high-grade (anaplastic) oligodendrogliomas.
The patient should carry the FFPE tissue or block of the Brain Tumor. This process is carried out by Neuro Surgeon in the hospital
The test is recommend if the Doctor is suspecting Brain tumor of Oligodendroglioma type
The test is performed by NGS technique
There is no risk associated with the test as biopsy will be taken by the trained Neuro surgeon in the hospital under anasthesia
The test result indicates 1P19q deletion positive or Negative Tumor. Presence of deletion leads to a better response to chemotherapy, longer survival and improved prognosis
