Identifying newly diagnosed glioblastomas that may respond to alkylating chemotherapy temozolomide. Guiding therapy decision making for newly diagnosed glioblastomas
The patient should carry the FFPE tissue or block of the Brain Tumor. This process is carried out by Neuro Surgeon in the hospital
The testing is recommended for newly diagnosed glioblastomas. It is important for clinical decision-making of patients to decide temozolomide therapy.
The test is performed by Methylation PCR
There is no risk associated with the test as biopsy will be taken by the trained Neuro surgeon in the hospital under anasthesia
The test result indicates MGMT positive or Negative Tumor. If the promoter gene is methylated, Temozolomide is more effective.
