This test analyzes maternal blood in the first trimester of pregnancy to assess the risk of the most common chromosomal abnormalities in the fetus.
The Double Marker test uses maternal blood sample, ultrasound – Nuchal Translucency (NT) scan of the fetus. NT scan or Nuchal Translucency is an important test to be taken along or before this Test as it increases the sensitivity of the results and reduces the false positives.
